Kiwi, (born 2013) was surrendered by a young girl who started having allergic reactions. He is a great older guinea pig that still has plenty of spunk. Don't let his age fool you, he still popcorns and loves his veggies. He will fall asleep in your arms if you pet him on his sweet spot, right between his eyes.
When I got Kiwi, he was in rough shape. His incisors were all crooked because his premolars were overgrown due to lack of hay (malocclusion). I promptly brought him to our vet who expertly filed them and he came out with flying colors. She could not believe what a great piggy he is. He is beginning to have cataract but the vet said it won't be a problem at all. He lives with a younger male, Tangerine, at the moment.
