Lady Rose (Luck) was rescued from a kill pound by a good samaritan who helped unwanted pets independently, like so many do in the southern part of Missouri. Lady had been seen loose for a couple of months and although posted, no one knew where she came from. She was like so many others that are usually just dumped. We hardly ever know why or by whom. She lived like that until finally ending up in the local pound. Although patient about allowing rescues to get pets out before the end, the pound was getting impatient and Lady was on red alert. After being "rescued" from the pound, we later found out that she had gotten lucky a second time when she almost got adopted to breed. OMG we don't need that down in SEMO. The local pound does not have a good method to assure the pets get adopted to good homes, safe from back yard breeders. So...here she is, safe with another non-profit called "Hair of the Dog Canine Halfway House of the Ozarks" AND...she has been spayed and fully vetted.
