How could you ignore Ernie’s adorable quirky little face? His personality is just as quirky.
Ernie and his brother were brought to us as puppies with severe head and face wounds caused by being attacked by a larger dog. After treatment and surgeries both dogs are healed and happy. Ernie’s brother was adopted but sadly Ernie has been overlooked.
Ernie loves clicker training, toys, playing with other dogs and making his person laugh on the regular.
Ernie’s biggest quirk is that he has a difficult time meeting strangers. It will take a couple meetings for him to warm up, but it is so worth the wait.
Ernie would do best in a home with a fenced yard, a doggy playmate and a family that is understanding of who he is and won’t force him past his threshold but will also continue to work on his training and confidence building. We feel Ernie would do ok with cats but a home without younger children would be best.
Ernie is a fantastic 2yr old Boston Terrier German Sheppard mix. Ernie weighs in at about 30lbs, is vaccinated, microchipped and neutered.
