Charlie was rescued from Mexico. We have had him about a year and a half. We think he's around 3 years.
He loves people and attention. He is house broken. He sleeps in our house.
He really loves to eat (he weighs 65 pounds). But because of our situation now, we can't give him the exercise that all flat-coats need.
Charlie has played with other friendly dogs off leash, but can be aggressive to others that challenge him.
He doesn't like Huskies. He will attack them. We think he must have had a bad experience with them when he was young. I have taken him to training and we think he's a very smart dog.
He has that sweet face that all retrievers have (I'll send a photo later).
I walk him for 1 to 2 hours a day, but he needs to have a "dog" friend to play with more often. I've never taken him to a dog park because we don't trust the other dogs.
He enjoys being brushed and he does very well taking a bath.
A house with older children and a big yard would be heaven for him.
