Meet Frank, a dog that was abandoned by his owners, he loyally stayed at the house waiting for a family that was never coming back for him. As a husky mix his coat needed maintenance but with no one to take care of him it developed deep mats that would eventually have to be shaved off. Frank was expected to walk up hill to a neighbors house to be fed. At eight years old this was no simple feat for a senior. Not only was that but he is also Heartworm Positive, putting a greater strain on his body to make the journey to get the essential food he need. If he had not been brought to PAWS the heartworms would have slowly killed him. Thankfully Frank is now going through his treatment currently to treat his heartworms but we would love to find him a local foster as well to care for him during his treatments. Frank is a easy going dog that gets along with most animals as long as they are not overly playful. One look into his piercing blue eyes and you can see a dog that is ready to find a family that will always be by his side.
