What a sad story this Tiny Tim of a dog has to tell. Well, except he is not tiny but he sure did have humble beginnings. Hanks is sure looking for his Christmas miracle, his hero. Hanks and his two siblings had been tethered in a home with other dogs and were removed as part of an abuse investigation. They were all very neglected and abused and of course very cautious of any sort of human contact. Hanks was probably the most fearful of the three, always on looking for anything or anyone that might hurt him. He has never been a bit aggressive with us, just fearful, poor boy. He came in belly crawling and it has been a journey. We knew that we would see that tail wag and that someday he would come to us for some loving. Yes-it has happened!! Hanks not only wags his tail but also learned how to run and play with the other dogs!!! He also LOVES to play fetch and will actually bring the ball back over and over again, so proud of him. He still has a ways to go, meeting new people is really scary. Going to his new home is not going to be all wags and wiggles, he will have to learn to trust again, he needs a very patient and special family. Hanks it totally housebroken, very well mannered. He does well with most dogs but is fearful with dogs that can be pushy. He is one special boy looking for an extra special family/person.
