Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Bocelli is a super sweet typical bluetick coonhound. Although completely blind, he functions very well on his own. We like to say he can "smell in color" .
Prior to rescue Bocelli lived outside 24/7 every single day of the year. He was just feet off of the busy road and in the summer was always thirsty and covered in dust. In the winter he was pelted with rock salt and had snow from plows piled right up to his dog box. His eyes were so badly damaged from corneal abrasions and untreated infections that by the time we rescued him he was completely blind. Eventually we actually had to have both eyes removed.
All Bocelli wants is to be warm and loved. We are looking for a home with a fenced in yard, and believe he would do best if any children in the home are older.
Bocelli is not too wild about travel and still gets anxious when he hears a big rig pass by, so we think a not so active family would be good for him.
Do you have what it takes to show Bocelli a good life?
