My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Wow this kitty had a dramatic rescue thanks to the fire department - and being lucky enough to have gotten trapped in the garage wall of a rescue volunteer! One of our long-time volunteers arrived home from work, parked her car in her building's garage, and heard a kitten crying in the wall! She went to investigate and she knew the kitten was stuck. She was afraid the kitten would die. Our volunteer called the humane society. They sent out an officer but he could not get to where the kitten was stuck. So she called the Fire Department. THESE MEN ARE HEROES! One of the firemen knew how to safely get the kitten out, but it required cutting open the wall! Our volunteer called the building manager to get permission to cut into the wall (and she offered to pay any of the damage fees) and when he said no, she called the manager of the adjacent building on the other side of the wall and that manager thank goodness agreed! After three agonizing hours, THEY GOT THE KITTEN OUT OF THE WALL. ALIVE! A MIRACLE!

This tiny girl kitten was named "Halona." Halona means "good fortune" in Native American. Halona was vet checked and had no injuries. She was cleaned up, and is eating well and loves purring and snuggling up with her foster home's other cats and little dogs as happy as can be. She would love a home with a kitty friend. Halona's approximate birthday is 8/20/18.

To meet Halona, please apply at www.TheRescueTrain.org and click on "Adopt A Cat" or CLICK HERE FOR APPLICATION. Halona is in a private foster home in Glendale and attends events in Studio City.
