My story

KENZIE (KENTUCKY)
Kenzie is a beautiful 1-2 year-old, 8-pound Yorkie/Terrier mix being fostered in Elizabethtown, KY.
Today is National Black Dog Day and do we have a black beauty! Beautiful Kenzie was found wandering lost and alone with no microchip, no collar and no tags. When her stray hold was up, our area foster went and scooped this sweet baby up and into safety. Kenzie was at the Dogtor bright and early this morning to get the best of news; she is young and in perfect health. Tomorrow she will be spayed and have her microchip inserted and in a couple of weeks this beauty will be ready for adoption.
We think Kenzie is a Yorkie-Dachshund Mix given her gleaming silky hair and classic copper on black coloring. So far she is sweet as can be and loves nothing better than to cuddle with foster Mom. No potty accidents in her foster home in the 24 hours since rescue so we are very hopeful in the house-training department! Kenzie is just beginning to settle in to her new life as a UYR princess so please stay tuned for updates as we get to know her better.
