Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Chooroo is a young Maltese/ Shih Tzu mixed male who is estimated to be about three year old, weighing 12 lbs. He was abandoned on the street, and found near the city hall in Asan City which is southeast of Seoul, Korea in early spring of 2018. He was brought in to the shelter, but not even a single inquiry came in for him. When our volunteers took him out for a walk, they noticed that he was limping, so he was examined by the vet, and he was diagnosed with luxating patella in his hind legs. We believe he was probably abandoned by his former family due to the cost to have the surgery he needed to repair them. When we received the euthanization notice on Chooroo, we pulled him out immediately, provided the surgery on his legs, and he was brought in to a foster home where he was cared for and also received the physical therapy for a number of months. The foster mom was very attached to Chooroo, and told us how calm and nice his temperament has been. He is also known to use pee pad when he is in the house, and he received a clean bill of health from the vet recently. All he needs now is a forever home that he can call of his own!!
We believe people who adopt rescue animals because they are willing to accept a bit of imperfection, and willing to embrace, work/ train and love them no matter what baggage the animal had in the past. It can be challenging, but extremely rewarding. We have seen amazing transformation in our adopted dogs who have been with loving families, and it is our goal to provide all of them with the opportunity. We are at our happiest when we see photos of our adopted animals smile with the new adoptive family, and we hope to find Chooroo a loving family who would do the same.
