Jimmy Durante's Info...

I am already neutered, up to date with shots, declawed, not good with kids, good with dogs, and good with cats.

Jimmy Durante's Story...
Jimmy Durante is named after a famous singer / actor who shared a common trait with this great cat - a big nose! Our Jimmy (the cat) has a very elongated nose and a gentle spirit. Jimmy was surrendered to PAWS-OK when his owners had to move into a new non-cat friendly residence. He has lived with another cat and two dogs so other cat friendly pets in his new home shouldn't be an issue. Jimmy has some issues with younger children and should not be adopted into a home with children under the age of about 16. Jimmy is also declawed on the front, neutered, up-to-date on his vaccinations and he has tested negative for Feleuk and FIV. We believe that Jimmy is about 2 years old. So if you are looking for a young, yet experienced cat with a great personality and a unique egyptian look - Jimmy could be the cat for you.

If you would like to meet Jimmy, please drop by and see him in our Adoption Center inside the Summit Pointe Veterinary Clinic at 9101 S Western. The clinic hours are 8-6 M-F and 8-1 on Saturdays. Or you can contact us for more information at pawsok@sbcglobal.net. Jimmy's adoption fee is $70.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Jimmy Durante, a Oklahoma City Domestic Shorthair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Oklahoma City, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair cat from a breeder in Oklahoma City.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Oklahoma City already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Oklahoma City breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Oklahoma City paves the way for another one to be saved.
