My story

Uma is looking for her forever home!

Found as a stray a few days ago, Miss Uma tried her hardest to be noticed and rescued. She rubbed all over anyone who would look her way, and followed people almost into their homes! Her ear notch was a clear sign that young, affectionate Uma was once TNR-ed (Trap-Neuter-Return), as confirmed by our vet during her intake exam. However, unlike most TNR-ed cats, who are feral and wary of humans, and who are returned to established and maintained colonies after their spays/neuters, where they are cared for, Uma was alone. She was on a busy Brooklyn road, with no safe place to hide, or cat colony around. Her friendliness further exposed her to human malice, and we knew we had to act immediately.
Now safe in one of our foster homes, Uma is all purrs! She follows her foster mom from room to room, sleeps next to her chest, and makes biscuits all day long. She is the embodiment of a lap cat, and will make someone’s house a real home. All she needs is a forever home, and a forever human, to make all her dreams come true. Are you that someone for Uma?

Uma is around 10 month old, vaccinated, spayed, and tested negative for FIV and FeLV.
