My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Toby Tyler is a fluffy white male Maltese approx. 8 years old, 6 pounds. He came to RCCR as an unclaimed stray from a county animal control facility in rural Missouri.

Life has not been kind to this sweetest of fellows. Toby arrived emaciated. Because he has no teeth, it was nearly impossible for him to survive on his own. But, he did survive and he now avidly consumes meals of slightly moistened small bites kibble mixed with high protein chicken stew.

Toby also has somewhat limited vision due to juvenile/immature cataracts. He gets along great in his foster home. His adopter will receive a copy of the exam report from the veterinary ophthalmologist.

Toby is great with everyone: adults, kids, other dogs, cats. He has a sweet, loving, low key personality. He’s easy going, has a smooth temperament, and is a great companion. He’s friendly and loves to be with his people. He enjoys laps, walks good on leash and rides well in vehicles. He’s working on house training skills and often will use potty pads indoors. He would do best in a more quiet, less hectic household and in a home without open, down stairwells for his own safety.

Toby is fully vetted: Neutered, up to date on all vaccines, heartworm negative and microchipped. He receives monthly heartworm and flea preventive. Such a great boy and his adoption fee is only $250.
