Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Up for adoption in Texas and New England: Pocahontas.
She is a very special little gal. We estimate she is about 4-5 years old and she weighs about 40lbs.
We found out about Pocahontas when she was in a dire situation, left to live outside and have multiple litters of puppies her owner would sell off and this cycle continued.
Some brave volunteers concerned for her safety and the safety of her puppies stepped in and convinced the backyard breeder to surrender her to Lucky Lab Rescue. Finally he did.
Lucky Lab got her spayed, vetted and vaccinated and into a wonderful foster home. She lives at a very cool dog daycare where the owner lives there with the dogs.
Coming from a rough start of never knowing love or cuddles she is a HUGE fan of cuddling!
She is still learning personal space but has made great leaps and bounds learning how to be a regular dog.
She loves to run and explore but knows when it’s time to relax! She is great with cats, dogs and pretty trustworthy with barn animals as well! They all live at the critter camp where she is being fostered. She fit in perfectly.
When she first arrived Pocahontas seemed to be "part goat" as she would eat everything, but she's chilled out a lot.
She would be perfect for someone who wants a very close companion and a snuggle buddy!
Since she was forced to live outside in her prior life and now has lots of access to the outdoors living at the critter camp, we suggest she go to an adopter with a backyard, or someone who would let her spend time a lot of time outside.
She is very curious and loves chews so she’s hoping to find someone to spoil her with toys and safe things to chew.
Pocahontas is a one of a kind pooch who can’t wait to find her furever home.
She is spayed, vaccinated, housebroken and microchipped. Apply at www.luckylabrescue.com
