My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

ADOPTION PENDING

Ily “I love you” is a girl who needs a second chance. At 9 years old, she found herself without her family as they were killed in a tragic accident. This loving girl is still waiting for her new forever home.

“I” is a sweet girl who wants to say hello and snuggle with her people. She loves to head out with our volunteers for walks around the park and has done well with all ages of volunteers. She's a big fan of squeaky toys and proudly parades around when she has one. Ily knows sit, paw and speak and loves to show off.

Our generous fosters have taken Ily into their homes for long weekends and over holidays. She has done amazingly well in their homes and has been the perfect house guest. While in home settings she was a total couch potato. She apparently misses steps from her old home as she enjoyed running up and down them.

Ily was not exposed to dogs in her previous life and struggles to make friends. As she is dog selective she would do best in a home without any canine brothers or sisters. She also prefers sunny days as she has high anxiety during thunderstorms. “I” needs a family that will accept her limitations and “special needs” and will love her anyway.

We are doing our best to give this girl lots of love, spoil her rotten and be the family to her that she doesn't have. For as much as we would miss her, this lady deserves a good life now and into her “golden years”. Please let us know if you would be willing to give her a second chance by emailing us at rescue@aardvarkanimalhospital.com
