My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:


Groot is a 6 year old neutered male found as a stray. He loves everyone he meets and only wants to sit on your feet or cuddle up on the couch or bed. He’s whip-smart, great at listening, learns quickly, and loves long walks and car rides. He’s house trained, and will go outside as long as he has the opportunity. He likes his crate, but he doesn’t like being alone much- he does better alone if outside, as long as he can sleep by someone at the end of the day. He hasn’t lived with kids but has met them and gets along. He’s chill and poised most of the time, but still enjoys playtime with his favorite squeaky toy or ball. He gets along best with other dogs that are calm, but gets far too excited about cats to live with them. All he needs is a good home and a family to stick by, and he will be incredibly loyal. Fair warning, though: he snores like a chainsaw!

Note: He is currently living with my dad about an hour away, but either of us would be happy to meet if set up a little in advance
