My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet CHANCE!!

Chance is a 1-2 year old, approximately 10 pound, neutered male mix breed. His size and body structure suggest he could possibly be a rat terrier/chihuahua blend.

Chance is one of the many discarded dogs found here in our city. He was found with another dog who was injured, and both taken in by residents until they were brought into the city facility.

Chance has piercing ice blue eyes, and is the perfect size for most homes. He loves to play with other dogs and would do best with a companion around his size to buddy with. He hasn't met a squeaky toy he didn't like. Chance is not overly vocal so apartment living would suit him as well. He hasn't shown remarkable interest in cats in his foster home. He is good in a crate, and is progressing in potty training, and does most of his business outside when kept on a schedule.

Chance is heartworm negative, up to date on vaccinations, bordatella, current on flea and heartworm preventive, and is micro-chipped. He comes with a health certificate to travel.

Chance's preferred home has a secure fenced in yard he can play in supervised (no electric or wireless please), a canine friend to keep him company, and no children under 5 please.

Chance is currently in a foster home in San Antonio TX and can be transported to your area once adopted. All adopters must meet requirements.

Chance is available through the City of Lytle TX Animal Care and Control. The adoption fee is $185, and ground transport fee to the East coast via Rescue Road Trips is $185. Ground transport runs every 2 weeks and fills up fast.
