Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Meet PIPPIN!!
Pippin is an approximately 8 month old, currently 6-7 pound, spayed female, mix breed. Our best guess on breed mix would be poodle/yorkie mix. She also resembles a tiny schnauzer mix. Regardless, she is 100% adorable!
Pippin was found in a small South Texas town as a stray and after some time, no owners were located. A friend reached out to us for help and we happily took her in.
Pippin is just alot of fun! She is playful, outgoing, and such a joy to have around. She can be quite active, so will need an active person to keep her happy. She enjoys the company of other dogs and can play til exhausted. She has to be closely observed when drinking water as she can overindulge causing her sodium and potassium levels to drop and lethargy to occur. Limiting availability and intake is an easy solution. She will require some grooming and frequent brushing to keep her hair tangle free, nice, and healthy. Pippin doesn't mind being in a crate, but is not fully potty trained.
Pippin has had 4 rounds of puppy vaccinations, bordatella, is current on flea and heartworm preventive, and is micro-chipped. She comes with a health certificate to travel.
Pippin's preferred home has a secure fenced in yard she can play in supervised (no electric or wireless please), someone who is home or works from home to spend time with her to train, a canine friend of similar size to keep her company, and because of her size, sharp puppy teeth and nails, no children under 8 please.
Pippin is currently in a foster home in San Antonio TX and can be transported to your area once adopted. All adopters must meet requirements.
Pippin is available thru the Lytle Animal Allies, a 501c3 non-profit. The adoption fee is $185, and ground transport fee to the East coast via Rescue Road Trips is $185. Ground transport runs every 2 weeks and fills up fast.
