My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Bella (Italian for "beautiful") is a 3-4 year old girl in need of a home of her own. She is litterbox trained, up-to-date on vaccines, spayed, and people-friendly. She is almost pure white with a grey, broken, up-side-down 'V' on her forehead. Bella also has the most beautiful eyes I've seen in a non-purebred kitty. They are normally yellow, but can change to green. She doesn't like to be picked up or held for very long, but she loves to be pet and scratched. Would probably do best in a home with children 6 years or older as she doesn't like to be pulled on or poked. Bella absolutely LOVES laser pointers and will actually beg to play with it. She is very loving but on her terms. She has been in GHP's care since April 2004 and needs a home of her own.

Bella MUST be kept in-doors AT ALL TIMES.... or allowed outside supervised WITH a leash and harness on (also could have a cat-proof fenced yard). Adoption includes an application, house-visit, contract, and adoption fee. By signing our contract, adoptees agree to return their kitties to GHP if for any reason they can't be kept any longer. We will only be able to adopt this pair out to people within a 50 mile radius of Colorado Springs due to transportation restrictions unless I can find someone to do out-of-town adoptions (this is pending). NOTE: If you are interested in becoming a volunteer to do home visits in the Denver area please let me know ASAP! Bella would love to have a forever home.
