Sweet lemon is approx 11 months old and 24lbs as of 10-18. He looks like a bichon/poodle mix. He is very timid and shy and will need some house and leash training but is learning very quickly. He is very quiet and well behaved. He doesn't really play with the other dogs he prefers to hang out with his people. His only fault is that he does not like to share his food. From his foster mom
What a difference two weeks can make when you’re lucky enough to be a Shaggy Dog. Fourteen days ago Lemon was a street dog...matted coat, covered in fleas, wondering the streets with no home of his own, and not certain from where his next meal would come. No life for an 11 month old pup! Enter Kathy Wetmore...in 2 short weeks Lemon has had a much needed salon treatment, all his shots and medical needs met and has no more concerns about going hungry. Now he’s watching the sunrise and enjoying comfy spots for napping while he waits for the perfect home. Lemon loves to talk and he has great stories to tell...at least we think they’re great. He would prefer not to share his food, but seems to be learning that there is always food. He’s a loving and happy guy!
OUR RESCUE POLICY: We require a home with children older than 12 years old and experienced adopters only.
The total adoption fee of between $525 and $650 depending on the quarantine laws of the adopter or foster's state (primarily Massachusetts) and includes the required interstate health certificate and transport , spay/neuter, shots including rabies, bordatella, parvo, lepto, distemper and canine influenza, and micro chip with a lifetime pre paid registration. The total amount is payable to Shaggy Dog Rescue which is a 501c3. Some of our dogs are still in Texas in foster care.
