Hello there! Thank-you for clicking on my profile, I’d love to meet you. Let me tell you a little bit about adopting me. I am a 6 year old cockapoo/havanese mix (actually nobody really knows!) I am about 9 pounds of happy, joyful doggieness!
My foster Mom says that I am one of the best foster dogs she has ever met. I like other dogs, cats (though they are fun to chase) and children. I am completely potty-trained and I am good about going into my crate to sleep at night. I do like to bark (don't all the really awesome dogs!) So I would be best suited not in a condo or apartment. I am not an abnormal barker...I just do bark and would be best suited not in a home that shares walls with neighbors.
I am an expert at cuddling and going for walks. Walks are my jam! I do have a good amount of energy and would like to romp with kids or other doggies if that's OK. My medical needs have all been taken care of that you can read about below. I do have one abnormality (birth defect, maybe) in that my one eye is smaller than the other. The doctors don't think I have any vision out of it. Don't worry, it doesn't slow me down or cause me pain. It just needs to be monitored to make sure nothing changes with it.
My friends at NBS Animal Rescue are helping me to find the perfect fur-ever home. All of the dogs in our rescue are have different personalities and needs within an adoptive home. If you think I might be the perfect addition to your family please follow these steps:
1.) Visit www.nbsar.org to fill out my adoption application. As an approved adopter, my rescue friends can set up a home visit so I can meet you. Our rescue is 100% run by volunteers, to help your application be processed as quickly as possible, please make sure to….
2.) Call your veterinarian and give them permission to release information about your current and past pet’s veterinary history.
3.) Call your references too! Let them know to expect a phone call from an unknown phone number, and a rescue team member will need to talk to them on the phone as a reference.
My adoption fee is $250.00 and includes a DHPP vaccine, bordatella vaccine, de-worming, spay/neuter surgery, rabies vaccine (age appropriate), heartworm test (age appropriate), heartworm preventative, flea/tick preventative, microchip insertion, bath, nail trim, ear cleaning, leash and collar and one week's worth of food. Our adoption process requires that any pet in your household be current on vaccinations and heartworm preventative , spayed/neutered (unless a documented medical reason is on file with your veterinarian). Dogs must be current on Distemper DHPP combo vaccine and Rabies vaccine, cats must be current on Distemper and Rabies at the time of application. This also applies to any pets in your home within the past five years.
