My story

This is one of our new girls Winnie who is up for adoption at St. Thomas City Animal Services.

Winnie came into our shelter as a stray, she was very timid and not thrilled to be here the first little bit. Once we gave her some much needed love however she turned around and has been an absolute sweetheart ever since. Winnie loves to be pet and will lay down right in front of you to get the love and pets she so wants! Winnie plays with toys and loves to chase the cat teaser! She may look a tad like a couch potato but when you take out a cat teaser she will show you her energetic and active side for sure. Winnie is a very quiet girl and does not make a lot of noise, only every so often will she meow, most of the time she is just a quiet cat.

Winnie is very clean in her kennel, she enjoys playing with her cat toys, snacking throughout the day and taking naps. She entertains herself nicely when she is left alone but will still hang out with you if you go to see her. Like most torties she does have a bit of an attitude but only when picking her up. She is a bit skeptical of new people holding her and will squirm to get down. She may not be a big fan of being picked up but she will come snuggle with you and sit on your lap for some love!
