Trixie is a sweet 1 year old Hound mix. At first glance she appears to have a black eye, which is symbolic of her rough start in life. Trixie was so tentative the first time she stepped on the carpeted floor at her fosters house! She may have never been in a home before that day. She arrived only 12 months old and pregnant. She quickly showed how much she wanted to be loved. She learned the rules and how to sit, give paw, developed good leash manners, and became house broken. She delivered 9 pups and has been a phenomenal Mom. Her foster family has another dog and 2 young children and she does great with both. She allows the children to walk her and be around the pups with much patience. Trixie is being fostered in Hampstead, MD. 1. Whether you have found a dog you wish to adopt from us, or you are still looking, the first step is to go to our website (fortheloveofdogsrescuepa.org) and fill out an application. You can fill the application out online, then simply save it to your computer and e-mail it to the address listed on the application. Appointments to meet the dogs may not be set until after you have been approved!

2. Once your application has been approved an Adoption coordinator will contact you and let you know what the next step will be.
