My story

Peanut is currently on hold as we try and find a solution to his arthritis problem....When we find out what medication makes him more comfortable, we'll reassess his availability for adoption.

This little old fella is just as sweet as he can be.... He no longer has any vision,,, but that doesn't stop him from being out and about with everyone else,,,, he manages the deck steps and finds the doggie door as quickly as anyone else.  He's fine with the other small dogs and not at all demanding of attention.

With a family of his own and less sibling competition he might find that more human attention is pretty great.  But he doesn't seem very keen on change, so we're not going to make him go thru the trauma of relocation unless something real special comes along!!

He's neutered, updated on shots and microchipped.  This fella is kind of super sized as Pekes go,,,,, but that just gives you more to love!

If you're looking for a pretty quiet laid back pooch for your family, Peanut might be your guy

Their adoption process

Additional adoption info

We charge an adoption fee to defray some of the costs of medical care for the animals. We require all potential adopters to fill out an application. We also reserve the right to do a home visit before releasing a dog for adoption.

Go meet their pets

Because we foster rather than have a shelter, where and when you can meet a specific animal depends on where he's being fostered. We try to let the foster person arrangement a meeting directly with the potential adopter at a time and place that works for both of them.

More about this rescue

We provide safe, loving foster care for as many "in-need" Pekingese dogs as we can find room for. They are evaluated both physically and mentally and provided with spay/neuter surgery, vaccinations, heartworm tests. Other medical care is provided as needed.
