My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hi there! My name is Obie, and I'm a super-sweet, very easy-going 11-pound black and white tuxedo Rat Terrier/ Chihuahua fella who loves to cuddle and who was born in October 2008. Rat terriers are friendly, happy-go-lucky, playful, lovable, and portable companions who strongly bond with their owners, and I'm no exception. Plus we're easily trainable compared to most terriers.
I thought I'd found my forever home when I was adopted as a young adult dog in 2012, but unfortunately, I was the victim of a divorce and ended up at BARC. However, thanks to my microchip, I was traced back as a Buster's Friend dog because they had bought my chip, so a volunteer rushed over to scoop me off death row. We all know what's the fate of senior dogs who end up at the city pound, so I am very relieved to be safe and sound in my foster home.
As you can see from my photo, my adopters had really neglected my teeth. So thank heavens Buster's Friends has already taken me to the vet for dental surgery and cleaning, and my mouth and gums are much more comfortable now.
I've captured everyone's heart here, so I hope that there's someone out there who loves a senior gent who has so much love to give. As you can see from my photo, I have plenty of pep and many years ahead for me. Why don't you arrange to meet me today? I'd love to crawl up in your lap to get to know you better -- and you, me.
Obie is updated on shots, neutered, dewormed, microchipped, and heartworm negative. His adoption fee is $200, cash or check payable to Buster's Friends. Please click the contact button if you are interested in Obie, and we can arrange for you to meet him.
