My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Autumn is a 6 month old pit bull puppy who is looking for her forever home. She is a bouncy, bubbly baby who is working on basic obedience. Autumn is very motivated by treats and she has mastered sit, lay down, and is learning clicker training. Her favorite snack is apple slices. She is a typical puppy and occasionally gets into things.

Autumn loves to play with other dogs, is friendly toward children, and has done well with cats. Due to her energetic nature, we would recommend kids older than 4 years. Autumn is also an expert snuggler and loves to curl up with her people on the couch or in bed at night. She is strong on the leash and needs to learn not to pull. She also does pretty well off-leash and is working on recall. Autumn also enjoys swimming. She has an old injury to her right hind leg that is healing well, but causes her to have a stiff gait. It is not causing her pain.

Autumn is working on some "stranger danger" where she will bark at new people on her walks. She also tends to get overwhelmed in new social situations with dogs and bark or get a bit snappy. She is not aggressive and she is improving on all behaviors. Due to her need to be well socialized, we'd love to see her go to a home with someone who'd plan regular puppy play dates for her, walk her most days of the week, and make sure she gets to go to lots of new places. She'd make an excellent adventure buddy.
