My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hello there! My name is Ibiza, which is a trendy resort town off the coast of Spain as well as an equally trendy Mediterranean restaurant in midtown Houston. I got my moniker, I guess, because I'm a chic, fashionable, up-to-date fluffy tortoiseshell Maine Coon/ domestic medium hair mix gal with a huge plume of a tail (that I can swish around like any diva) and a cute pink nose who was born in June 2015.
But I'm not just eye candy! No siree! I'm a sweet, friendly, outgoing, and affectionate lap cat who would be perfectly content to cuddle with you all day long and purr up a storm. I'm an amiable kitty who doesn't mind other kitties and would be very patient with well-behaved children. My foster meowmy says that my laid-back, well-adjusted personality makes me one of the easiest kitties whom she's ever cared for.
So I guess you're wondering how a gorgeous gal like me is homeless. I'm living proof that even exquisitely beautiful kitties of a popular breed mix can end up in precarious predicaments. I was adopted as a kitten in January 2016 into what I thought was my lifetime home. Everything was fine for several years, but then my adopters got a divorce and moved, and I got lost during the move. I spent 4 months outside on my own fending for myself, and then a Good Samaritan turned me into a shelter. Luckily the shelter traced my microchip back to Buster's Friends, who had bought it, and my foster meowmy rushed over to scoop me up and out of there. I was so happy to see her again and get out of that scary place. She called my adopters, but they had adopted a dog in the meantime and didn't want me back. My foster meowmy was shocked to hear that as I'm as sweet as a kitty can be.
No worries! I'm moving forward without looking back at my sad past. I'm sure there's someone or a family out there who will cherish me forever and give me a fantastic lifetime home this time around. Won't you arrange to meet me today so that I can crawl up in your lap and you can guess the decibels when I turn on my purr motor?
Ibiza is updated on shots, spayed, dewormed, microchipped, FIV/ FeLV negative, and ready for her indoor-only home. No de-clawing permitted. Her adoption fee is $100, cash or check payable to Buster's Friends. Please click the contact button if you are interested in Ibiza, and we can let you know exactly where you can meet her.
