We adopted Simba as a kitten 4 years ago. We wanted a playmate for our other cat, Darcy.
He is energetic and playful. He loves playing with cat toys (especially string or rope), bottle caps, and hair pins (he finds them).
He loves to scratch. His nails need to be trimmed often and he needs a few scratch pads (he likes the cardboard ones). He has scratched carpet and our bed box spring before. As long as you have enough pads for him, he should defer from the carpet and furniture.
He likes the outside, although he is an indoor cat. We have let him out on our patio before.
Sometimes he gets "eye goop". We just wipe with a clean cloth and water. The vet said that it's a blocked tear duct and that the surgical fix only works temporarily, so therefore not worth the stress on Simba. Special eye drops from the vet have helped in the past if it gets to be really bad, but they aren't necessary.
He is loving and wants to cuddle and be pet all the time.
