Yeungling is a unique name for a very unique dog. Yeungling is an anglicized version of a german word meaning young man. Yeungling is a young dog and will always look young in the face. He just looks like a youngster. He is a Catahoula Leopard dog. They are the state dog of Louisiana and every Catahoula dog that we had adopted out through Cedar Farm has been an exceptional animal. Amazingly intelligent, loyal, loving, they are people dogs. They want to be around you. Normally very assertive and protective, Yeungling is a mix and that seems to have mellowed the protective aspect of him. They are a strong personality and will need an owner who understands what it means to be “alpha”. He likes playing with the dogs here, especially with a little basset mix named Jill.
Yeungling weighs about 60 pounds, is heartworm negative, on heartworm preventative, up to date on all shots, spayed, microchipped, crate and leash trained. If you would like to meet Yeungling, it is a simple process. Go to our website, cedarfarmrescue.com, click on the Adoption Application tab, fill out and submit the application. After you have done that, please CALL us at 336-251-8877 to confirm our receipt of your application. At that time, we will be happy to answer any additional questions you may have and set a date and time for you to come and visit with Yeungling.
