My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Kiki Ann: **ADOPTION PENDING** 2 year old, black and tan, spayed female, natural ears and tail, 14" 15 lbs. Shots up-to-date. Micro-chipped. Owner surrender.

Kiki Ann's previous owner rescued her from a shelter and loved her very much. It was hard for her to surrender her to IMPS, but she did because she realized that her circumstances were not right for Kiki Ann. Since she wanted only the best for Kiki Ann, she unselfishly asked that IMPS find a home with a yard for Kiki Ann to run in and another dog, or two, for her to play with. Kiki Ann's previous owner spoiled her in a good way and took great care of her. She is in excellent condition with sparkling black eyes, a healthy, shining black coat and the most uniquely, adorable tail that curls around almost like a piglet's and adds to her personality.
Kiki Ann is a delightful, bright eyed, happy-go-lucky kind of a girl. She has tons of energy and loves playing with her doggie brothers and sisters. Kiki Ann is fine with tiny dogs and huge ones. She will defend herself is she needs to, but has no meanness in her happy nature. She is constantly seeking to have fun and play. She jumps up and down with excitement and her zest for life is infectious! She's not shown any indication of being destructive and not a single digging incident. Kiki Ann was exposed to a cat in a large crate and showed no particular interest, but she's not been tested with a cat that runs from her.
Kiki Ann uses the doggie door to go outside to take care of her "business". We are working on getting her used to being crated, but currently, the crate is not her favorite place, especially at night since she really wants to be in bed, under the covers, with her people and will voice her displeasure with the volume turned up on high. She will bark at strangers, but quiets quickly.
Because Kiki Ann is a high energy, exuberant lady it would be best that she is in a home with older children. She's also slow to warm to men, but will once she knows they can be trusted.
Kiki Ann will make an active family with a yard and doggie siblings a wonderful addition.
