Wisconsin applications are priority, but Illinois applications will be considered if no small children are present in the home, the home is owned, and excellent vet reference can be provided. We cannot process applications from other states.
Chico is currently living in a foster home in Fort Atkinson, Wisconsin.
Chico found himself out of time at the Conroe Animal Shelter outside of Houston. He was so tiny and scared…his coat was thin from a flea allergy…he looked so pitiful and he immediately stole his foster mom’s heart. She knew that he was destined for the good life in Wisconsin. He has been a little sweet heart! Chico had to go through heart worm treatment in Houston. He has had no complications from his treatment.
Chico is believed to be about 5 years old. He loves to hang out with other dogs his size. He is a little shy at first but warms up quickly once he knows he's safe and loved. He is kennel trained, house-trained, and is quiet most of the time. He enjoys going for short walks when the weather is nice and he seems to be low shed. His favorite place to be is on your lap and would be the perfect companion for someone that can give him the attention he deserves! Even though he is currently being fostered in a home with several cats, he doesn't quite understand why they don't want to play with him so would do best in a home without them. Since Chico was neglected at the start of his life he deserves to be someone's one and only and completely spoiled! He's just a little guy with a big heart!!!
Our process includes an approved application, reference checks, a homevisit, and once
approved a meet and greet with the dog. Please note that preference is given to adopters in
Wisconsin, but Illinois adoptions will be considered. will be considered. Adoption fee is $250.
