My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Loving & affectionate doesn't begin to describe this sweet boy! Laps are Cheezit's favorite place to sit, he gives the best hugs, he likes belly rubs, and can't get enough hugs & kisses! He has no problem returning the affection with gentle head bumps, happy purrs and soft kneading. Adding to his appeal, Cheezit's ears have a charm & personality of their own, his nose is the cutest & most boopable, and his eyes are a beautiful green that contrasts perfectly with his silky orange fur!

With a personality to match his good looks, this charming guy wins a lot of hearts! When he sees me through the door, Cheezit gets excited & meows for me to come see him and sometimes he does a clumsy half summersault to get my attention first, which is the cutest thing! He's always the first cat who greets me & starts talking to me immediately and with a face like that, he's hard to resist! Even the other cats think he's special and he usually has a cat buddy or two cuddled up to him!

When it comes to energy, Cheezit is a pretty calm & laid-back guy. He doesn't seem to know how to play with toys, but does have a silly side and likes to get on a shelf behind me, rubbing his head against mine so vigorously that my hair looks like she's been in a tornado, which always makes me laugh. Cheezit is a good boy who uses a scratching post and one quick way to make him a happy cat is with Friskies Party Mix, his very favorite treat!

Don't let Cheezit's FIV+ status scare you! FIV is Feline Immunodeficiency Virus, which slowly weakens a cat's immune system over the years, making them more prone to infections. A cat who tests positive will have a powerful immune system for many years and with a lot of love, a well-balanced diet, good vet care, and kept inside, they can live long, healthy lives! It can be passed on to other cats by blood contact due to deep bite wounds or cuts and can't be passed on through casual contact, mutual grooming, sneezing or sharing food bowls & litter boxes. FIV is not contagious to humans or dogs.

NOTE: All our cats are adopted to indoor only homes and adopter must sign contract agreeing to never declaw. We spay/neuter, vaccinate and microchip all cats before they go to their furever home.
