Dino here - Look how handsome I am!
Dino is three years old and full of life. He craves attention and knows how to get it! If he's not sitting on your feet looking for love, he might be looking for something of yours to hold ransom to trade for attention, or waiting excitedly by the door for his walk so he can play in the leaves and the snow. He’s interested in other people and dogs, and can leap with excitement towards them, but he just wants to sniff and play! He is currently being walked on leash with a training tool and is doing very well when meeting people and dogs out and about.
He’s not overly bothered by his foster parents comings and goings and adapts quickly to new people and surroundings. He’s also very good at learning new boundaries whether it be not going in the bedroom or getting on the couch. He sleeps soundly through the night and most of the day in his kennel and does well in a car - he won’t try to leave the back seat, but he’ll likely sit and pant for the entire ride.
Dino does have some issues with resource guarding and doesn't yet know how to share his toys, so his new owner must be willing to work with him on this. Dino doesn't like things that startle him and isn't so keen on having his ears or feet touched, and may react to these things with barking. Because of these reasons, Dino would do best in a home without young children.
Dino would do well in an environment where he can get lots of attention and have access to the outdoors. He’s a smart; fully house trained, non-destructive pooch who’s looking for a home to laze in and people to explore with. Someone with large breed experience would be best for this handsome boy.

Crate trained: Yes – I sleep in my kennel every night and don't mind being put in it when no one’s going to be home.
Loose-leash trained: Yes but only with my training tool, otherwise I like to pull and as I'm really strong, I'll take you with me!
Commands: Sit, down, paw, stay
Dogs: I'm very friendly in encounters with other dogs. I just want to play!
Cats: I've not met any yet
Children: Older children only please - I'm pretty big and I don't know how to share!
Ideal Home: Dino is a big boy who requires regular exercise and a home that can accommodate his size. He’s content when home alone during the day and thus would be suitable for people who work during the day. Ideally his adopter would be Rottweiler-savvy or have previous experience with large dogs.
