My story

Marmaduke resides at a rescue in Arkansas.

Well hello there. My name is Marmaduke and I'd like to tell you my story. First of all, I am NOT a great dane! I am a male Hound mix of some sort and I weigh 38 pounds.

I was found along with another dog, Mazy, wandering in a nearby town. After a week some people finally caught us and here I am at Gail's Pets.

I am a little bit shy around new people at first, but just let me sit with you and rub my head and talk to me and I'll be your best friend forever.

I have met all of the volunteers and some of the other dogs here. I have no idea what the colored "rope" with a hook is, but they attach it to my collar and then expect me to walk. Well, I'm not having any of that right now!! (Don't worry, the volunteers are working to get me comfortable with going for walks.)

I am looking for a forever home and I sure hope that is with you.

NOTE: These pictures were taken the middle of August. I have put on some weight since then and am a little bit taller, but other than that I still look like me!
