My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Sadie #8 is a 8-month-old spayed female black lab. Sadie weighs 44
pounds and is up to date on shots. She is approved for kids 10 and up.

Sadie is crate trained, sleeps through the night, is 8 months old, attentive and curious. She knows sit and down. She walks well on leash considering she has never had basic obedience. She is young and eager to learn. She loves car rides, enjoyed having a bath. She likes to cuddle on the couch and loves belly rubs. She fetches, but needs some work on retrieving. She loves her chew toys and following humans. She loves everyone, men, women, kids (mine are 11 and 13). She did great at the dog park with dogs of all sizes. Foster mom thinks she would be ok in a townhome. She barks if she hears other dogs bark, but rarely barks first. Like any dog, she just needs some exercise. She goes for a walk in the morning and she's fine all day while foster mom works and she gets another late afternoon walk. If it's nice, she likes to run around at the dog park for 30 minutes. She's eager to learn. We've been working on trying to be calm before any affection or treats and she's learning to sit nicely rather than bouncing. She is couch snuggler, face kisser and is really sweet the majority of the time.

UPDATE: Sadie spent a fun weekend settling in with her foster and we learned more about her. Sadie enjoyed getting her energetic wiggles out at a local dog park, and investigated the pet store with foster mom. She did well with other dogs and people at both locations. In addition to her pretty sit, she will share either paw with you upon request! This young lab will need lots of exercise.
