My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Fully approved applicant will meet and pick up in the Folsom oe SAC area

www.sadt.info
if you feel you are a matching person
see videos and more pics on our site of this well loved and cared for cutie

Reilly is a beautiful playful girl looking for breed experienced folks that are good leaders and have no other pets in their home nor make it an important thing in their life to having to have a dog friendly dog
She's a great companion dog to her humans and does not care to play or be around other dogs

Reilly is about 3 years old and weighs around 80 pounds
We do not know if she's a purebred or if she is a mix but looking at her she could be pure but her size for the breed is much larger

She loves to run and play tug of war
She learns very fast and loves to go searching for treats hidden around the house.see video

Were looking for a similar home that enjoys playing the games she loves and add new ones to her day
She is very food motivated and can respond to sit, stay, come and leave it.

She gets excited to go outside and loves being outside to play and potty
She sleeps by her current caretakers bed

Maybe over time you can get her used to a dogbed since she likes the floor best
if you buy her a COOL mat since Huskies are on the hot side

She is very clean and doesn’t attempt to jump up on furniture.
She has a couple of chew toys that are special to her.
She is inquisitive and likes to check everything out.

Due to bad experience in her previous life, she is not other dog friendly but am trying to follow advice and let her gradually see other dogs even if only at a distance.she has improved
If that is important to you, you can keep working on that
as long as you are a very patient person

She has never shown any aggression to us and is a loving dog

Reilly is also very good with the caretakers husband and doesn't seem to have a problem with men but may be best suited with a young and still fit retired couple without any physical issues that prevents them from exercising her properly
If you know the breed you know they require proper exercise daily as well as mental stimulation with the games she knows and loves
Reilly is very loved in her current home but for health reasons she would be better off in a more active home

We are not in a rush to get her out but are looking for the match made in heaven as we did thousands of times over the years
Someone that is not afraid to go the extra mile if ever needed
Looking for stable home owners prefer middle aged or older, but active adult home
country or outskirts of town would be great but not a must
best no close by neighbors dogs unless you want to deal with that

Reilly is a loved and well cared for dog looking for someone that wants to take over where the caretaker leaves off and would love an extended family to get updates throughout her life
Reilly will come with all her belongings to the right super matching family

Reilly is energetic and fun loving but also settles well, she is looking for someone to play with and hang out with prefers humans over other dogs
She likes to play tug and chase a ball.
She has a few favorite toys but especially loves her toy bone that is open at both ends.
She likes to chew it and break the pieces of biscuit inside.
She is very smart. Has learned to flick it I to the air and catch broken pieces that fall out.
She is quite partial to peanut butter stuffed into her Kong toy too.
She loves to play “sniff” searching for small pieces of cheese hidden around.
She is very motivated by food to learn and knows a few commands like sit, stay, come, leave it.
She does have separation anxieties and becomes agitated if left alone or confined that is why we only want someone that is home at all times and is dog experienced besides active and fun
She readily goes into her crate for toys or food but does not stay in for long or stay in with the door closed.
She loves to go out walking and although she has made great progress, she needs some additional leash training.
She does well in an enclosed yard where she can run about freely as she is like all Siberian huskies and has a wish to escape if the yard is not Husky secure with a 6 foot fence that's in good shape (she's not an escaper but could if the fence is too low)
She is not aggressive even with food as you can move her bowl while she is eating with no growls or trouble. We have tried to make her a bed in several places but she prefers to sleep in the bedroom on the floor. (We have not tried a cool mat for her yet that may help as this breed is always hot with that type of coat
Saying night night is her cue to go to sleep.
Riding in the car is another pleasure for her but again not to be left alone in it.
She would do well in a home where she is an only dog/animal as she needs and loves lots of attention and gives it back to you, especially having her nose and face rubbed. She has never attempted to go on the furniture but instead prefers a quiet

Reilly loves the outdoors so a dog door to the fenced yard is ideal

Reilly wants someone at home at all times specially until she's fully settled in and must have a good leader so she can feel save and secure
She gets some separation anxiety if left alone but working with her over time usually resolves that to some point specially if her owner is a good leader
Once you are approved as a match you will be able to have all your questions answered by Reillys current caretaker where she's been living for the past year

If you like to meet her you must be fully approved by us and by her caretaker
We at SADT have not met Reilly but are going by what her caretake tells us which in our opinion is a very caring and truthful person
We are also going by our experience over 18 years we have with people and dogs
Reilly sounds like a sweet girl that's ready for her last home her forever home that will love and cherish her and create wonderful memories
I hope you are the one for her

adoption fee, vet references, secure fenced yard a must, pics/videos of home, experienced with this breed must have raised at least one Husky type dog in adult hood, must be a secure home owner
