My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Zori is a 13 year-old Border Collie/McNab mix (best guess). Sadly, Zori’s owner recently died in a boating accident and she’s been living with her owner’s roommate and cat companion. Understandably, she is mourning the loss of her dad, the only home she has known and the cat she was bonded with. Although Zori has never lived with other dogs, so far she ignores them and is non-reactive. Despite all she’s been through, we are finding Zori to be a sweet, gentle dog who loves attention. Now what she needs most is lots of LTLC and time to adjust to her new world. Her foster mom and dad will give her that while she waits for her furever family.

From Zori's foster mom, Debby:
"Zori is doing great, and it’s wonderful to have her around the house. She’s definitely partial to men and took to Matthew (her husband) right away, offering face kisses and leaning in on him. She likes to follow us around and help around the house. She especially loves to help cook by sniffing at the counters. (She’s still on her best behavior and hasn’t tried to take anything from the counters, though.) She has helped Matthew pick tomatoes in the yard and repair a towel rack. When she’s not helping, she enjoys naps in her bed. She went to bed early on her first night, and slept soundly through the night. She whimpers when she needs to go out to go potty, and enjoys her walks around the neighborhood. The cats have declined to accept her friendship, and she is very respectful of them. She’s a GREAT PUP!"
