Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Sweet Bailey is a 10 year young spayed female lab or mix. She is great with dogs the cat in her foster home. Her foster mom has not had her around children but with her disposition thinks she'll do just fine. She walks well on leash only on the right side, a little unusual, but it works. Forest walks, off leash, is her favorite activity, good thing because she is 15 lbs overweight.
Bailey came back to GRFR after her owner passed away. When she first came she was so stiff and depressed that she could barely get up. With some good walking and supplements, the transformation has been remarkable. She now walks 2 1/4 miles and the smile on her face says it all. She still has a slight hitch in her giddy up but, her limp (right front foot mostly) is barely noticeable now. She's starting on a joint supplement and she has had the blood work for occasional Rimadyl. She doesn t need to exercise come rain or shine but, there is plenty of
shine in Colorado and she will need consistent walks if she is to thrive. A big backyard will not suffice. She participates in doggy play if the other dog is persistent, but she doesn t initiate.
Bailey wants what most dogs want; someone who is home most of the time, Netflix and cuddling, her own bed in your bedroom, rides in the car and, regular exercise. There is a lot of life and love in this sweet girl.
