This handsome hunk of puppy is Gourdie. Gourdie is one unique pup, we honestly do not know what breed to call him; he has a naturally bobbed tail, double dew claws on his back legs that are webbed, and judging by his ‘cankles’ and paws Gourdie is going to be a big dog when he grows up. We are very very tempted to do a DNA test on him. Gourdie is under 4 months old and already nearly 30 pounds, we expect him to be big. Gourdie was found outside in a rural area all on his own, his finders couldn’t locate an owner and noticed he was limping so they reached out for rescue help, and that is how he became a member of the Saving GRACE family. Radiographs showed us that Gourdie had a broken back leg, but the break was old and had already begun healing in line so surgery wasn’t necessary thankfully. There is a bit of a lump on his leg, but our vet doesn’t believe he will have any problems with it, and he now puts all his weight on it. Gourdie is just an all-around awesome puppy, truly we have nothing but great things to say about him. Gourdie loves everyone and animal he’s met, he knows no stranger and is just the sweetest. He is an active puppy, that we expect will grow into a fairly large dog, so it is important that Gourdie goes to a home with an active family; he would love a home with kids and/or other dogs to play with him. Gourdie was built to be a child’s best friend for sure! He is very smart and highly trainable; he’s doing great on potty training. We have really enjoyed having Gourdie and watching him grow, he seems to be getting bigger literally every day, but it’s time for him to find his perfect family and home!
Gourdie is a foster pup through Saving GRACE, his adoption fee is $200. He has been neutered, vaccinated, dewormed, microchipped, and more. All Gourdie needs now is the perfect family to open their hearts and home up to him!
