My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Webster is an American Staffordshire Terrier mix, 55 pounds, and is 1.5 years old. This beautiful chocolate brown pittie is an absolute bundle of happiness and a big love bug. He is currently in a foster home with teenagers, other dogs and a cat. Webster is super cat friendly.

If you’re looking for a couch potato, lazy dog to sit around with all day, then Webster is definitely NOT the dog for you! He is an active boy who wants to be where you are, and loves to play with his humans. He’s not a hyper dog, or out of control. He just loves to have fun! He gets along great with other dogs, however, he prefers to play with people and hang near them as opposed to rough house with other K-9s. His favorite toy is a rope that if you get tired of playing tug of war, he will toss it around and self-entertain. He also loves Wilson….his partially deflated basketball that he will carry and shake. Webster is a big snuggler. When he’s played out, he is a big mush and lays curled up with you or snuggled into a dog bed. He sleeps with the foster’s teenage daughter, curled up together with his head on her chest or over her arm. She even uses him as a body pillow.

Webster has learned basic commands, and is super intelligent. Actually, his foster mom says he is the most intelligent, trainable dog they’ve ever fostered! He is treat motivated, and has adapted well to positive reinforcement, clicker training where he picks up things quickly. We are looking for an adopter who has an active lifestyle, will take him places, and just enjoy being with him. He will do great as the only dog, or with other dogs. Because he loves his toys, is playfully active and is a big boy, we recommend him for families with children over 8 yrs old.

Webster has been fully vetted. He is heartworm negative, has been vaccinated and neutered. He will make a great addition to a home looking for a fun, sweet, mushy, entertaining guy!

Interested adopters subject to reference check, vet reference, home visit and meet and greet(s). Adoption fee applies.
