My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

This handsome puppers is Squash! Squash is a Great Dane mixed boy and a little over three months. He is already nearing the thirty pound mark; he’s going to be a big boy! Squash was found in a rural area along with his two siblings, who’ve been adopted already. They were scrawny, dirty, and full of scabs and parasites; for being so young they looked like they had been on their own for a bit. We took one look at those sweet little faces and knew they would become members of the Saving GRACE family. When we got them we noticed that Squash was really favoring his back leg and not putting any weight on it. Radiographs showed that he had a badly broken femur, and he had to have surgery to rebreak the bone and set it with a pin. His leg has healed up nicely, and he will always have the pin in his leg; he uses it with no problems though now! Squash is just a goofy and sweet dude. He really enjoys playing with his foster dog siblings and would be a great dog with kids. As we said earlier, Squash is going to be a very large dog we believe, so future owners need to keep that in mind and be ready for that. He is also a very active dude and needs a family that will keep up with his energy level; we would love to see him go to a family with a big yard and dogs and/or kids to keep him happy and entertained. Squash is a smart, food motivated pup who is highly trainable; since he is going to be so big we highly recommend his new family do training classes with him to make sure he grows into a respectable big dog with good manners. We have really enjoyed fostered Squash and watching him grow, he seems to be getting bigger and bigger every day at this point! Alas, Squash’s leg has been cleared by our vet and it is time for him to find his forever family!

Squash is a foster pup through Saving GRACE, his adoption fee is $200. He has been neutered, vaccinated, dewormed, microchipped, and more. All Squash needs now is the perfect family to open their hearts and home up to him!

If you think Squash is the pup for you please head to our website and fill out a pre-adoption application.
