WINSTON is a sweet, calm 13 year young at heart male Shih Tzu who is looking for his forever home. He was turned in to our rescue because his owner had health issues and couldn’t care for him any longer, so now he is waiting for a new home. At 13 years old, Winston has seen it all and is a very calm guy - he isn’t ruffled by new situations, strange people, or other dogs or cats. He is also very sweet and gentle, and rarely barks or jumps. Winston enjoys riding in the car, looking out the windows the entire time. He is house trained and expects a treat after he does his job and comes back inside. He always likes to know where you are and will sit by you or follow you throughout the house. He loves to sleep with his person all night, and then may snooze during the day in his bed. Winston is looking for a home with an older couple or a single person home most of the day. Even though Winston is a senior dog, please consider giving him a loving home where he can remain the rest of his life; he lost the only home he knew. He still has many happy days ahead of him, and he will gratefully return your love.
Winston is healthy, and weighs 19 pounds. He does have some hearing loss. He is neutered, current on vaccinations, has had a dental, is microchipped, and on heartworm and flea/tick preventative. His adoption fee is $75.00 plus $5.64 sales tax for a total of $80.64. His foster mom would like his new family to live within 50 miles of Maple Grove and hope that they will come to the Shih Tzu Rescue Reunion held in September each year.
