Meet Nessa, a beautiful five-year-old husky/shepherd cross. Don’t be put off by her size, Nessa is a gentle giant. She is incredibly friendly and lives for cuddles and tummy rubs. She’s timid but gentle when meeting new people and will show off her playful side once comfortable.
Nessa is 70 lbs of energy and loves going out for walks a couple of times a day. A fenced yard where she can be chased around would be ideal for Nessa. She’s a big fan of dog parks where she runs and plays with her fellow canines. She’ll happily befriend other dogs and even cats. She absolutely loves going for a car ride and is a great back-seat passenger. She’s gentle and playful with children though with her large size it would be best for her to live with older kids.
Nessa was adopted from a shelter when she was one year old. During her first year of life she was left alone for long periods of time. Once adopted she lived in a large house with a fully fenced yard. Her people moved to a townhouse recently and Nessa isn’t as comfortable in the smaller space. Unfortunately her humans haven’t been able to give her the attention she needs. She has been pacing and howling at night as well as chewing at windows and doors. With a new baby on the way, her humans have made the difficult decision to find her a new family.
Nessa would do best in a home that can offer her regular interactions and lots of stimulation.
Nessa is a smart girl. She knows how to sit, lie down, and shake a paw. With a firm command and a treat in hand this girl will happily learn new tricks. She’s house-trained and clean, but when startled or afraid she may squat and pee a little. She’s afraid of loud noises including vacuum cleaners and thunder. She has also shown fear when approached by men wearing turbans.
Nessa is spayed, vaccinated, and tattooed. She has no known health issues. Nessa sheds and needs regular grooming.
Nessa is a loyal and gentle girl who thrives on exercise and attention from her people. She’s affectionate and intelligent. Nessa bonds quickly and would be a great addition to an active and loving household.
