Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Hi. My name is Allie. I am a 7 years young deer head Chihuahua. I currently weigh 11 lbs (or less, I'm hoping, by now). Foster mom calls me "chubby". Took me a while to figure out that wasn't my name and she was referring to my extra weight. How rude! Then again, I did arrive when I was over 14 lbs and I should really be more like 8 or 9 lbs. I must say, she has done well because I am mighty proud of my new waist I had no idea I could have one!!
I wouldn't say I'm lazy.. I'm more of laid-back kind of gal. I enjoy snuggling and resting. I really don't like to talk unless you are late with my dinner. Don't worry, I always watch the clock and I know exactly when dinner time is!! I'll remind you!
My back legs are probably not as strong as they should be so I'm not an expert on steps. I'd rather be picked up but I can do doggy steps to get on the couch! I' m talented like that! The doctor put me in some machine to see by bones and said I'm all ok. He says there is absolutely nothing wrong with me. Maybe my weight and lack of exercise have just weakened my muscles? That must be it!
I really just want some love, a comfy place to sleep and to know that I am safe. I'm an easy keeper :-) I don't mind other dogs at all. In fact, I lay on them or they lay on me.. keeps me warmer so I welcome their company. And cats? I haven't seen one in my foster home but if there is one around, I highly doubt I'd mind. In fact, if they like to cuddle, they are welcome in my book!
So, foster mommy says it's time for me to find my furever home.. whatever that is.. but if I'm gonna be loved.. I'm all for it!
If you are interested in adopting, please complete an adoption application located at
https://dogsunlimited.wufoo.com/forms/adoption-application-for-dogs-unlimited-rescue/
All Dogs Unlimited Rescue dogs are spayed/neutered, up-to-date on all shots, and are given a monthly flea/tick and heartworm preventative. Upon adoption, all vet records and any current medications are provided to the adopter.
THE SUBMISSION OF YOUR APPLICATION DOES NOT GUARANTEE AN ADOPTION NOR DOES IT OBLIGATE YOU TO ADOPT. Multiple applications are accepted for any available pet and a home is chosen that is the best match between the available pet and the potential furever family. Your application will be processed as quickly as possible and if approved, a home visit would be scheduled. No adoption is final until an Adoption Agreement is presented and agreed to by both parties.
Our goal is to find the right match of our dogs to their new family so all involved are furever happy! Questions: email adopt@dogsunlimitedrescue.org
And THANK YOU for considering a rescue dog for your family!
