This three-year-old pure-bred golden retriever will surely steal your heart. Golden retrievers are one of the most popular breeds and it’s easy to see why. Wynston exhibits all of the best characteristics of his breed. He is a sweet, calm-natured dog who is wonderful family companion.
Wynston was born and raised in the Lower Mainland. He’s lived with his family since he was just eight weeks old. He’s shown exceptional love and loyalty, especially when his people brought a newborn home. He’s grown up alongside another “pup” in the house and will run to stand beside his younger brother when anyone new enters the house. Due to serious life changes which have affected his quality of life, his family have made the extremely hard decision to help Wynston find a new family to love him.
Wynston is a bundle of energy. He loves his daily walks and will pull you to and fro to explore the route! (A firm hand and a martingale collar will easily bring him to heel). Wynston loves the outdoors and will gladly go on long walks and hikes with his humans. He sometimes forgets how big he is when playing with younger children and has been known to sideswipe them with his tail! Wynston is good with people and very friendly to other dogs although puppies bother him a little! His people often go away on short trips and Wynston gets to enjoy a luxury stay at a unique “Bed & Biscuit” boarding house where he thoroughly enjoys his special treatment!
Golden retrievers are highly intelligent and Wynston is no exception. He knows basic commands (sit, come, stay) and will respond especially quickly with a treat as reward. Golden retrievers are exceptionally good when given “jobs” to do. Wynston will thrive doing some training with his new family and having some responsibilities of his own. He would love to look after another canine sibling in his new home!
Wynston is healthy, tattooed, neutered and vaccinated. He sheds and needs regular grooming. A healthy diet will keep his beautiful coat silky and shining!
Wynston is a happy-go-lucky dog who enjoys experiencing life’s adventures. He is full of affection, is a loyal companion and finds much joy in life. Wynston’s ideal new home will be with loving people who can spend lots of time with him and appreciate the special dog he is!
