My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

The name's Chili, after the soup! And you'll need me to keep you warm in this weather we've been having. That's what my new family at Canines & Company has been saying, anyway...

Here's what my trainers know about me so far. I have ENERGY! I am a young dog who is up for anything and everything. I am fun and a total goofball, and am pretty much game for whatever you want to do. I've got the head tilt down pat and make for an excellent camera subject. I love my scratches and will somersault into your lap if you scratch my behind for long enough. I absolutely love other dogs, and I like to play hard. If you have a rough and tumble kind of pup, they would LOVE me. However, I do try to be polite with the dogs that aren't fans of me quite yet, and I can be redirected to train when I get to be a bit too much for my playmates.

Without distraction, I work for treats and toys quite easily. I want to please and learn. It's the best way to burn off all my energy, after all. I am learning the basics at Found Training Center, like "sit," "down," and "place." They are even teaching me to do some agility! It's tough, but I'm up for the challenge. I have proven to be a very quick learner and have already caught onto clicker training. I am working on controlling my puppy energy with a proper "sit" instead of jumping up for attention and I'd say I'm doing pretty well at it!

I am very friendly with people and other dogs and would probably do best with older children who can handle my zest for life! I am friendly and playful with cats, but will probably chase, so it would take some getting used to if I shared a home with one. I'm a good boy, though, so there is potential for me to blend into whatever situation is asked of me.

My adoption fee comes with a FREE group course at Found Training Center to ease the transition to my new home. If you are interested in meeting me to foster or adopt, please email brittney@caninesandcompany.org.
