My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

12/6/18 - ADOPTION PENDING!
Adoption Fee: $250
Fostered in Ponchatoula, Louisiana
Age: 8 years
Weight: 14 lbs.

11/25/18 - One man’s trash is truly another man’s treasure . This is definitely the case with Connor. He was dumped at a local shelter by his owner’s children without so much as a kiss on the head. He had awful eye infections, skin infections from fleas and was not up to date on shots or heartworm prevention. He was discarded with these problems and sat in the shelter not knowing why his so-called family did not want him anymore.

This is where the treasure part of the story picks up. An angel that keeps watch over this shelter called and got Connor into Yorkie Haven Rescue and an awesome foster home. He has been a busy little guy since then. First stop was to see the hair dresser. Then the dogtor made sure he was up to date on his shots and heartworm prevention. He is still receiving medicine for his eye infections, but the vet feels that Connor has dry eye and will continue to need an eye ointment for this. He also has a little sensitive belly, so he currently eats Royal Canin - Gastrointestinal and has done great on this. He will also be getting his teeth cleaned very soon. After all that, what would a make-over be without new clothes? Not complete! So Connor and foster mom quickly ran to the clothing store for a few sweaters since the weather has been chilly and he even scored a new bed.

Connor gets along with all the other dogs (different sizes) in his foster home and is even fine with cats. He likes all people too and has been around small children with no problem. However, a home without very young children would probably be better since he would probably run out of an open door if given the chance. He is majorly attached to his foster mom and has quickly become her side-kick. He loves following her everywhere and absolutely adores going for car rides with her.

Like all yorkies, Connor does have some tinkle accidents, but does go outside when brought. The more he goes out, the better he does. When no one is home, Connor has free roam and does not get into anything. He has not taken an interest in toys yet, but we are still hopeful.

He isn’t a huge kisser, but is very clingy to his people. He will hang out with you no matter where you are. He will bark when he feels it necessary or when the other dogs bark.

Connor is a handsome, loving, well-adjusted, friendly baby that will make a great addition to the right home. His foster mom said she will make sure that his next home is his last, and that he will be treated like a king. His first family sure did lose out on something special, but Connor doesn’t have any hard feelings against them. He’s just glad they let him go so he could turn out to be someone else’s TREASURE!
11/15/18 - BIO COMING SOON!
