Here's what the humans have to say about me:
We would like to introduce you to Gus. He is a full Saint that is 4 years young and came to us as a starved, pitiful, sad boy. He is so hungry we are feeding him between 6-8 small meals a day to try to let his stomach adjust to having food again. When we rescued Gus he weighed 85 pounds. This boy will be around 120 pounds once we have him healthy and ready for adoption Gus is very loving and is so happy to be around any person as long as you are kind to him. It gives us hope for our world that if everyone could be nice and kind that even one person can make a difference with kindness, goodness and heart. We have not introduced Gus to other dogs yet because he is not yet neutered. We are happy to show Gus to anyone that is interested in him, but he will not be ready to go to a new home until sometime in December. Gus is heartworm negative, current on all shots and is a shorthaired Saint St. Bernard. He is housetrained. Gus came to us from a shelter.
In concern for families with small children, we will not adopt a dog to a home with any child under the age of 5. This is due to the large size of Saint Bernards and the safety of your children. Our Saint Bernards are not aggressive or mean in any way, they can just knock down children easily. If you would like to visit our pups please contact St. Cloud's Rescue at www.stcloudsrescue.org or call 972-679-5319. The first step in adopting from St. Cloud's Rescue is to complete an application. The application may be found OUR WEBSITE at www.stcloudsrescue.org. Please click on the application process, complete and then email it. Once the application has been sent please call us to confirm that we have received it. St.Cloud's Rescue maintains the right to deny applications to anyone for any reason we see fit. St. Cloud Rescue is a non-profit 501-c-3 organization. St. Clouds Rescue requires new owners to purchase a one year supply of heartworm preventative from us, which is at cost. We require a home visit prior to all placements. All our dogs must be microchipped at a cost of $20.00. There is a $250.00 donation fee. All dogs adopted through St Clouds Rescue must be indoor pets. Saints can not tolerate the Texas heat.
