My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Chihuahua
Age: Senior
Female, Spayed
<6 lbs

Adoption Fee: Donation (includes spay/neuter, microchip, vaccinations)

Queenie was found on the streets of Oakland and dropped off at a local emergency vet, then transferred to the Oakland Shelter. She was made available to "rescue only" because of her advanced age and severe dental disease. Nearly of her teeth had already fallen out, and the remaining six teeth were about to fall out and easily extracted by the vet during surgery. However, the damage caused by decay was so bad that portions of her lower jaw bones are missing. She is still able to eat soft, mushy food.

Despite her very small size, she has a lot of personality including some "chutzpah." She has bonded very well with her foster family and rules the roost with the other dogs in the family, who are all younger and bigger than her. Other than her dental issues, she is pretty healthy dog for her age. She needs a quiet household where she can get plenty of well-deserved love and attention, for what remaining years she has left.
