Look for the bare necessities The simple bare necessities Forget about your worries and your strife I mean the bare necessities Old Mother Nature's recipes That brings the bare necessities of life Wherever I wander, wherever I roam
I couldn't be fonder of my big home. - from ' The Bare Necessities' (sung by Baloo) Disney's 'The Jungle Book"
Sadly even the barest of necessities are not always available to pups who are left to fend for themselves out on the streets. Our little boy Baloo is one of those very pups. Baloo is a 10 month old hound mix weighing 30 lbs. We doubt he will get much bigger so we are pretty sure he maintain little guy status. Baloo was found on the streets hungry and terrified. We don't know how he got there but it was pretty obvious that fate had dealt him a pretty rotten hand at that point. Once in the shelter he was completely shut down and depressed (who wouldn't be?). Thankfully he was noticed by a rescue group who quickly realized this poor pooch was not going to survive in the shelter. He was taken from the overcrowded chaotic confines of the shelter and placed in a loving foster home where he has thrived. Baloo is very good with smaller dogs, cats, and kids. He does well with bigger dogs after proper introductions. He was likely picked on or attacked by bigger dogs at some point so he is initially afraid of them. Once he knows they are friendly and will not hurt him then play time is definitely on. Baloo is already house and crate trained. He loves being around his people and according to his foster mom he is an absolute doll with a lovable goofy personality. Baloo is already neutered, up to date on all vaccinations, current on preventatives, and micro chipped. He certainly has more than the bare necessities in his life now but there is just one really big thing missing. He needs a forever loving home and family that will give him all the kindness and affection he missed out on in his previous life. The only thing Baloo is missing now is...you!
